We are blessed to live in a society that respects diversity and inclusion, a world with no limits to our minds and thoughts. But there are ongoing controversies on the topic of offensive humor (dark humor). The unspoken rules of what you can or cannot say on stage are fragile and constantly changing, challenged by multiple generations of radical comedians and pioneers, and Lenny Bruce was one of them.
As an American stand-up comedian, social critic, satirist, and screenwriter. He was renowned for his open and critical form of comedy which breaks the taboo on stage and lead him frequently arrested under charges of obscenity. He left us with a critical legacy, gathered by several outstanding scholars and thinkers over the next decades.
