My thesis is about divination, and design as a vessel that serves reincarnation in the cyber world.

I was fascinated by the power of diviners when they described the unknown by symbols and elements, the way they make the future collapse into shapes, lines, and dots.

As a graphic designer, I am excited to explore how to extend not only the legacy of visual language, but also the valuable spiritual experiences of traditional divination under a new technological context.

The keywords for the visual identity are random and evolve. It was inspired by ink test, Tasseomancy, Osteomancy, and any other organic structures formed by nature. The visual is formed by elements that resemble animal bones, which is a commonly used tool among ancient diviners.

Unveil is an interactive program that generates divination answers for your questions. The answer will be precisely based on the data gathered from participants’ questions, but it provides the same spiritual experience just like traditional divination because they share the same mechanisms.
